21-30254 - Theft From Vehicle - Unit block of Dogwood Rd.

On 10/15/21 at approximately 11:50am, officers responded to the unit block of Dogwood Road for a reported theft from a vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person stole a package of cookies and an iphone 8 from his vehicle. Total loss value to the victim was $250.00.

21-30319 - 1st Degree Assault - Unit block of Market Space

On 10/16/21 at approximately 12:47am, officers responded to the to the unit block of Market Space for the report of a subject with a knife. Officers met with Security and the victim who advised that an unknown male pulled a knife on him while on the dance floor after accidental contact was made between the two parties. The unknown male fled the establishment when police were called and was unable to be located. No injuries were reported.

21-30338 - Theft - 1000 block of BayRidge Ave.

On 10/16/21 at approximately 8:05am, officers responded to the 1000 block of Bay Ridge Ave. for a reported theft. The store manager called to report a theft in progress of hair products. Upon officers arrival the suspected thief was located and placed under arrest. The suspect was identified as Xavier Genns 9/3/1998. Genns was charged accordingly and the merchandise was returned to the business.

21-30448 - Shots Fired/Dest. to Property - 700 block of Newtowne Dr.

On 10/1721 at approximately 9:30pm, officers responded to the 700 block of Newtowne Drive for reports of shots being fired. Upon arrival officers made contact with the residents who advised that a projectile went through the rear window of their apartment, the couch and into the wall. No injuries were reported and no suspect was located.

If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
