Annapolis Police Department Daily Report

21-29145 - 1000 block of Poplar Ave - Theft from vehicle

On 10/1 at approximately 1:00pm, officers responded to the 1000 block of Poplar Ave. for a reported theft from a vehicle. The victim advised that an unknown person entered his vehicle and stole $40.00. 


21-29236 - Unit block of Maryland Ave - Theft 

On 10/2 at approximately 12:35pm, officers responded to the unit block of Maryland Ave. for a reported theft. The owner of the business said that a gold necklace valued at $2,600 was stolen from the jewelry case in the business during normal business hours.


21-29253 - 300 block of Chester Ave. -Burglary

On 10/2 at approximately 4:00pm, officers responded to the 300 block of Chester Ave. for a reported burglary. The owner of the business said that someone unlawfully entered the business and stole several St. Croix fishing rods. The value of the fishing rods is unknown at this time.


21-29282 - Unit block of Bates St.- Robbery

On 10/2 at approximately 11:00pm, officers responded to the area of Bates Street and Clay Street for a reported robbery. The victim reported that she was robbed by two unknown men. She stated that they demanded $60 from her and when she declined, they pushed her to the ground and took the money from her. The victim did not require medical attention due to the incident. 


21-29304 - 1900 block of Fairfax Road- Theft from vehicle

On 10/3 at approximately 7:00am, officers responded to the 1900 block of Fairfax Road for a reported theft from a vehicle. Officers spoke to the victim who reported that his vehicle was unlawfully entered sometime overnight. During the course of the investigation it was discovered that several other vehicles on Fairfax Road were also rummaged through. A total of 7 vehicles on Fairfax Road were unlawfully entered, rummaged through and had items stolen. 


21-29329 - Unit block of Brooke Ave - Burglary 

On 10/3 at approximately 2:00pm, officers responded to the unit block of Brooke Ave. for a reported burglary. The victim advised that an unknown person entered his home through an unsecured rear door while he was out of town. The unknown person ransacked two bedrooms but it is unknown at this time if anything was taken.


21-29324 - 900 block of Bay Ridge Rd.- Theft

On 10/3 at approximately 1:23pm, officers responded to a business located in the 900 block of Bay Ridge Ave. for a reported theft. The store manager advised that a group of suspected juveniles failed to pay for groceries. Total loss value to the business was $58.82.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
