Annapolis Police Department Daily Report

21-27881 - Theft - 700 block of Boucher Ave. 

On 9/17/21 at approximately 2:30pm, officers responded to the 700 block of Boucher Ave. for a reported theft. The victim said that someone stole tools that belonged to his business. Total loss value was $110.00. 


21-27926 - Theft - 1900 block of West St.  

On 9/18/21 at approximately 12:15am, officers responded to a business located in the 1900 block of  West St for what was initially reported as a customer management dispute. The clerk advised that a male  approached the counter and ripped 6 bags of plain black "Skyland" T-shirts down from the display near the ceiling. The unknown male then picked the shirts off the floor and walked out without paying for any of them. The total loss value was approximately $50.00.


21-27944 - Theft - 2000 block of West St. 

On 9/18/21 at approximately 9:08am, Officers responded to a rental car company in the 2000 block of West Street for a reported theft. The manager of the business said that a person rented a vehicle but failed to return it. The business has since attempted to contact the renter with no success. The vehicle is described as a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander. 


21-27947 - Theft - 1800 block of Lincoln Dr.

On 9/18/21 at approximately 10:15am, officers responded to the 1800 block of Lincoln Drive for a reported theft from a vehicle. It was reported that two vehicles were unlawfully entered and valuables were stolen from them. The stolen items included a backpack containing a chrome laptop, bank cards and lawn chairs. 


21-27969 - Theft  - Unit block of Dock St. 

On 9/18/21 at approximately 3:16pm, officers responded to the unit block of Dock Street for a reported theft. A representative from the Annapolis Fire Department reported that 2 dock ropes were stolen. The ropes were kept in a secured storage area and were valued at approximately $60.00.


21-28042 - Theft- 100 block of Prince George St.

 On 9/19/21 at approximately 10:00am, officers responded to the 100 block of Prince George Street for a reported theft. The victim advised that an unknown person stole flowers along with the planting pot from his front porch. Total loss value was approximately $12.00.


21-28063 - Theft - 117 Rosecrest Dr.

On 9/19/21 at approximately 5:35pm, officers responded to the 100 block of Rosecrest Drive for a reported theft in progress. The reporting person witnessed two juvenile males opening mailboxes and removing mail. The juveniles were located and charged on citations for the thefts. 


21-28072 - Assault - Madison St / Brashears St.

On 9/19/21 at approximately 7:10pm, officers responded to the area of Madison Street and Brashears Street for a reported assault. The adult male victim said that he was riding his skateboard in the area when he was shot in the shoulder with a bbgun. The individuals responsible were believed to be juveniles. The suspected juveniles ran away after the assault and were not located.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
