21-27694 - Theft - 800 block of Skippers Lane
On 9/15/2021 at approximately 7:50am, officers responded to the 800 block of Skippers Lane for a reported theft from a vehicle. The victim stated someone rummaged through his vehicle overnight and stole several items. The stolen items included his house keys, his mailbox key, and his gate access key to make entry into his gated community.  Total loss value to the victim was approximately $80.00.  

21-27704 - Theft - Frederick Douglass St/Medgar Evers Street
On 9/15/2021 at approximately 9:42am, officers responded to the intersection of Frederick Douglas Street and Medgar Evers Street for a reported theft of a street sign. The reporting person advised that someone stole the sign from the post that was found laying on the ground. The sign was later located nearby and turned over to Public Works, the sign has since been reattached to the post.

21-27706 - Theft - 700 block of S. Cherry Grove Avenue
On 9/15/2021 at approximately 10:15am, officers responded to the 700 block of South Cherry Grove Avenue for a reported theft from a vehicle. The victim stated that a coffee mug was stolen from her glovebox. The mug was valued at $20.00.

21-27712 - Theft - 1600 block of Belle Drive
On 9/15/2021 at approximately 11:13am, officers responded to the 1600 block of Belle Drive for a reported theft from a vehicle. The victim reported that her vehicle was broken into overnight. The victim said that the unknown person rummaged through her vehicle and stole $9.00 in coins from the vehicle.

21-27728 - Theft -700 block of Americana Drive
On 9/15/2021 at approximately 2:40pm, officers responded to the 700 block of Americana Drive for a reported theft. The victim advised that an unknown person stole a package that was delivered to her doorstep. The package was delivered by Amazon and contained a tube of lipstick valued at $10.00.

21-27730 - Theft - Unit block of Annapolis Street
On 9/15/2021 at approximately 2:50pm, officers responded to the unit block of Annapolis Street for a reported theft. The victim advised that two individuals entered the business. One of the unknown individuals distracted the victim as the other stole her wallet. The two left the area in a vehicle and were not located, total loss value to the victim was approximately $70.00.


21-27754 - Assault - 200 block of Main Street

On 9/15/2021 at approximately 5:59pm, officers responded to the 200 block of Main Street for a reported assault. The victim advised that he was struck in the head by a subject known to him. The subject responsible was located nearby and identified as Otto Gordy. Gordy was placed under arrest and charged accordingly. 


21-27761 - Theft - 1200 block of Gemini Drive

On 9/15/2021 at approximately 7:25pm, officers responded to the 1900 block of Gemini Drive for a reported theft from a vehicle. The victim said that her vehicle was left unsecured with the vehicle's key fob left inside. The suspect stole the key fob along with the victims wallet that contained approximately $150.00.


21-27772 - Assault - 1400 block of Tyler Avenue

On 9/15/2021 at approximately 10:30pm, officers responded to the 1400 block of Tyler Avenue for a reported stabbing. The victim advised that she was stabbed by a subject who is known to her from a previous relationship. The suspect fled the scene prior to officers arriving. The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for non life threatening injuries. 


21-27779 - Breaking & Entering - 100 block of  Main Street

On 9/16/2021 at approximately 2:54am, officers responded to the 100 block of Main Street for a reported alarm sounding. Upon arrival it was discovered that the front glass to the business was broken out. The owner arrived on scene and reviewed video surveillance, video surveillance showed three males entering the business  after breaking the glass. The males fled from the business without taking anything. 


21-27782 - Breaking & Entering - 100 block of Main Street

On 9/16/2021 at approximately 3:40am, officers located a business door forced open in the 100 block of Main Street. Further investigation revealed that the business had been burglarized. The office was ransacked and an undetermined amount of money was stolen.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
