21-27179 - Identity Theft - 300 block of Center St. 

On 9/9/2021 at approximately 9:40am, officers responded to the 300 block of Center Street for a reported identity theft. The victim advised that an unknown person opened a bank account using his personal information. The account was opened with Bank of America.  information.


21-27183 - Theft - 200 block of McKendree Ave 

On 9/9/2021 at approximately 10:42am, officers responded to the 200 block of McKendree Ave. for a reported theft from a vehicle. The complainant reported to officers that an unknown person(s) entered his parked vehicle overnight and stole $30.00 (US Currency), the vehicle's registration card, and the vehicle insurance card. 



21-27208 - Theft - 1800 block of George Ave 

On 9/9/2021 at approximately 3:22pm, officers responded to the 1800 block of George Ave. for a reported theft. The complainant advised that an unknown person(s) stole the catalytic converter from his vehicle. The vehicle was parked at a business having service completed at the time of the theft. 


21-27213 - Fraud - 1200 block of Graff Ct. 

On 9/9/2021 at approximately 3:30pm, officers responded to the 1200 block of Graff Court for a reported fraud. The victim advised that she responded to a Facebook advertisement for a vehicle for sale. The person who posted the ad requested that the victim purchase eBay gift cards in the amount of $800.00 in order to purchase the vehicle. The victim did as requested but later found out that it was a scam.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
