21-26945 - Theft - Unit block of Richards Lane
On 9/6/2021 at approximately 4:42pm, officers took a telephone reporting call for a theft of tag. Officers spoke with the complainant, who stated that he parked his vehicle in front in the unit block of Richards Lane on 09/03/2021 at approximately 8pm. The victim stated that when he returned to his vehicle on 09/06/2021 at approximately 4pm, he witnessed his front tag had been stolen from his vehicle. The victim also stated that there was an attempt to steal the rear tag, but the suspect(s) were unsuccessful.

21-26941 - Auto Theft / Recovery- unit block of Hudson Street

On 9/6/2021 at approximately 5:01pm, officers responded to the unit block of Hudson Street for a reported theft. The reporting person advised that he left a vehicle unsecured with the keys in it so that it could be picked up by the owner. The vehicle was being stored at that location after having work completed on it. An unknown person entered the vehicle and drove it away. The vehicle was later located on Lincoln Court. The keys to the vehicle were not located.

21-26950 - Aggravated Assault- 2000 block of Forest Drive

On 9/6/2021 at approximately 6:15pm, officers responded to the 2000 block of Forest Drive for a reported assault. Two adult males were engaged in a physical altercation at which time one of them attempted to cut the other with a box cutter. The suspected aggressor in the incident was identified as Adalberto Salinas 10/4/1963. Salinas was placed under arrest and charged accordingly.

21-26960 - Burglary- Unit block of Murray Avenue

On 9/6/2021 at approximately 7:56pm, officers responded to the unit block of Murray Avenue for a reported burglary. The victim advised that while he was away an unknown person unlawfully entered his home which may have been left unsecured. The suspect rummaged through the residence and stole approximately $50.00 in change and currency.

If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
