21-26448 - 1200 block of Ashton Ct - Theft

On 9/1/2021 officers responded for a reported theft in the 1200 block of Ashton Court. The victim advised that an unknown person stole the front registration plate from his vehicle. The vehicle was parked in the 1200 block of Ashton Court when the registration plate was discovered missing but it is unclear where the theft actually took place.

21-26451 - 1900 block of Westbridge Dr - Fraud

On 9/1/2021 officers responded to the 1900 block of Westbridge Drive for a reported fraud. The victim advised that she sent financial information to an acquaintance. It was later discovered that the acquaintance fraudulently deposited checks into the victims bank account and began to withdraw money. Total loss value to the victim was $5,518.33.

21-26502 - 1200 block of Graff Ct- Fraud

On 9/1/2021 officers responded to the 1200 block of Graff Court for a reported fraud. The victim advised that she sent a deposit for a rental home that she found on Facebook. The victim later discovered that the person she sent the money to was not associated with the rental property at all.

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
