Live Fire Sprinkler Demonstration in Annapolis

The City of Annapolis with the Annapolis Fire Department, in partnership with the National Fire Sprinkler Association (NFSA), will be demonstrating the effectiveness of fire sprinklers with a live fire sprinkler demonstration at City Dock at noon on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. The public is invited. 

Project Restore Open for Applications

The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development is providing financial support to Maryland’s new or expanding businesses to help incentivize commercial investment in vacant retail and commercial properties. Project Restore will provide two grant opportunities for businesses that plan on opening or expanding into previously vacant spaces, a Rental Assistance Grant and a Business Operations Grant. 

BGE's Energizing Small Business Grants Now Available 

Eligible businesses located in BGE’s service area can apply for a $20,000 BGE Energizing Small Business Grant. Round 3 opens September 1 and closes October 13. Apply by sharing how a grant would provide economic relief and help grow your business. 

Business Growth Strategies Series - Start Small…..Think Big 

Join the Maryland SBDC, the Maryland Department of Labor, and the Maryland Department of Commerce for a 4-part Business Growth Strategies Series - Start Small….. Think Big. Presenters will share information on workforce services, how to prepare for growth with or without lending, procurement opportunities of 50k or less, and certifications 8a, WOSB, ACDBE, SBE, MBE, SBR, and VSBE.

COVID-19 Vaccine Business Incentive Program

Anne Arundel County Department of Health (AACDOH) has established a COVID-19 Vaccine Business Incentive Program. Its purpose is promote and support community COVID-19 vaccine clinics for their customers and staff. Activities support the Anne Arundel County Department of Health’s COVID-19 response efforts.

Procurement Opportunities 

On-call Engineering and Inspection Services Water Storage Tanks

The Central Purchasing Office of the City of Annapolis is accepting sealed proposals for consulting services to provide engineering and inspection services for water storage tanks until 2:00 p.m., local time, Tuesday, September 28, 2021. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, inspection and evaluation of conditions, diving services, preparing reports and recommendations, providing technical specifications and bid documents, construction inspection and related study needs for the maintenance of various water storage tanks.
