21-25887 - 1100 block of Lake Heron Drive - Theft from vehicle

On 8/25/2021 at approximately 6:55am, officers responded to the 1100 block of Lake Heron Drive for a reported theft from a vehicle. The victim advised that she left her vehicle unsecured overnight. When she returned to her vehicle she noticed that it had been ransacked. An unknown person entered the vehicle and stole several items to include a phone cord, registration card, insurance card, phone holder, disposable masks and a folding cart. Total loss value to the victim was $125.00.

21-25913 - 400 block of Captains Circle - Burglary

On 8/25/2021 at approximately 3:47pm, officers responded to the 400 block of Captains Circle in reference to a burglary in progress. Officers located a juvenile inside of a vacant apartment that had been posted "No trespassing". The juvenile was placed under arrest for trespassing, burglary and possession of marijuana.

When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
