21-25431 - 2000 block of Solomons Island Rd-Theft

On 8/20/21 at approximately 8:44am, officers responded to a grocery store located in the 2000 block of Solomons Island Road for a reported theft. The store manager advised that a male subject entered the store and stole crab meat along with other items before exiting without paying. Officers located the subject responsible nearby and placed him under arrest. He was identified as Damion Tyrone Joyce of Annapolis, Joyce was charged accordingly. Total loss value to the business was $29.96.

21-25456 - 2000 block of West St -Stabbing

On 8/20/21 at approximately 3:05pm, officers responded to a business located in the 2000 block of West Street for a reported stabbing. Investigation revealed that an altercation between two adult males occurred at which point one of the men stabbed the other in the shoulder with a knife. The suspect was identified as Rajwinder Singh. Singh was placed under arrest and charged accordingly. The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.

21-25563 - Unit block of Colonial St - Theft/ Destruction of property
On 8/21/21 at approximately 4:00pm, officers responded to a parking garage located in the unit block of Colonial Street for a reported theft of services and destruction of property complaint. Officers were advised that a subject left the garage in his vehicle without paying the fee and broke the articulating arm to the garage while exiting. Total loss value was $310.00.

21-25549 - Unit block of Franklin St - Theft 
On 8/21/21 a resident from Franklin Street called to report a theft of two bicycles. He advised that two juveniles who appeared to be approximately 12-13 years old asked to borrow bicycles. The victim allowed the juveniles to use the bicycles but they never returned them. Total loss value to the victim was $750.00.

21-25628 - 600 block of Cutter Ct - Theft 

On 8/22/21 at approximately 1:00 am, officers responded to the 600 block of Cutter Court in reference to a reported auto theft. The victim advised that someone stole her Honda Pilot from that location. The vehicle has not yet been located. 


21-25636 - Unit block of Market Space - Theft 

On 822/21 Officers responded to the unit block of Main Street for a reported theft from a business. The store manager said that an unknown female entered the business and took a shirt from the clothing rack to try it on in a dressing room. The female exited the dressing room and left the store without paying for the shirt. Total loss value to the business was $20.00


21-25630 - 300 block of Atwater Drive - Theft from vehicle

On 8/22/21 at approximately 11:00 am, officers responded to the 300 block of Atwater Drive for a reported theft from a vehicle. The victim advised that an unknown person unlawfully entered his vehicle and his wallet which contained $60.00, identification, social security card and other personal items. 


21-25649 - 112 Brightwater Drive - Theft from vehicle

On 8/22/21 at approximately 2:30pm, officers responded to the 100 block of Brightwater Drive for a reported theft from a vehicle. The victim advised that an unknown person rummaged through her vehicle after unlawfully entering it. The unknown suspect stole the victims IPOD touch. Total loss value to the victim was $700.00.

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
