21-24288 - Theft - Unit block of Juliana Circle 

On 8/6/21 at approximately 6:06pm, officers responded to the unit block of Juliana Circle for a reported theft. The victim advised that a family friend  stole their credit cards and unlawfully made purchases with the cards. The theft occurred while the victims were away on vacation and it was discovered upon their return. The victim chose not to pursue criminal charges against the family friend. 


21-24289 - Theft - 1100 block of August Drive

On 8/7/21 at approximately 10:30pm, officers responded to the 1100 block of August Drive for a reported theft from a vehicle. The victim advised that sometime overnight his vehicle was broken into. The suspect stole the victims laptop, Sony headphones and his passport. Total loss value to the victim was $1,300.


21-24436 - Shots fired/Destruction of Property - Unit block of Town Pines Court

On 8/9/21 at approximately 1:32am, officers were in the area of Clay Street when they heard what was believed to be shots being fired. The officers quickly located the location of where the shots were being fired and responded. The shots were fired in the unit block of Town Pines Court, officers located a crime scene that was processed. No injuries were reported however one door to a residence was struck with gunfire.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
