21-24143 - 3rd Degree Burglary at 1900 block of Copeland Street

On 8/5/2021 at approximately 6:44pm, officers responded to the 1900 block of Copeland Street for a reported burglary. The victim advised that a group of female subjects known to her entered her residence without permission for the purpose of assaulting the lease holder. The leaseholder and a friend were assaulted by the group by being punched and kicked. After the assault, the group left the area in a vehicle. One of the victims suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.

21-24142 - Theft from Vehicle at Unit block of Bens Drive

On 8/5/2021 at approximately 6:30pm, officers took a reported theft from vehicle that occurred in the unit block of Bens Drive. The victim said that she allowed a subject to utilize her vehicle for the purpose of charging his cellular phone. The victim later realized that her wallet was missing. It is believed that while charging his phone, the subject stole the victims wallet along with the contents inside. Total loss value to the victim was approximately $495.00.

When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
