21-23984 - Theft - 100 block of West St.
On 8/4/21 at approximately 8:21am, officers responded to the 100 block of West Street for a reported theft. The victim said that he dropped his wallet in the parking lot of a business and later discovered that it was missing. When he returned to retrieve his wallet it was gone. Through investigative means officers were able to determine that the wallet was picked up and rummaged through by an unidentified male subject. The subject left the area in a vehicle still in possession of the wallet. The wallet contained the victims social security card, bank card and $1.00.

21-24028 - Theft - 1900 block of West St.
On 8/4/21 at approximately 3:52pm, officers responded to the 1900 block of West Street for a reported theft. The owner of a business said that a subject entered the establishment, consumed food and an alcoholic beverage but left without paying. Total loss value to the business was $52.10.

When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
