21-22614 - Sex Offense - 2000 block of Capital Dr.

On 7/21/21 at approximately 1:26pm, officers responded to the 2000 block of Capital Drive in reference to a reported sex offense. Investigation revealed that a staff member inappropriately touched a juvenile who was attending camp at the facility. Detectives were notified and this is an ongoing investigation.

21-22621 - Theft - 100 block of West St.

On 7/21/21 at approximately 2:37pm, officers responded for a reported theft that occurred in the 100 block of West Street. The victim reported that her Tiffany necklace was stolen from a safe. The victim said that she secured the necklace in the safe on 7/17/21 and when she went to retrieve it on 7/18/21 it was missing. The necklace was valued at $7,000

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
