21-21788- Theft from vehicle- 600 block of Americana Dr.
On 7/12/21 at approximately 6:37am, officers responded to the 600 block of Americana Dr. in reference to a theft from vehicle. Upon arrival, the victim advised  he parked his 2014 Gray Chevy Impala in the 600 block of and later discovered that it had been rummaged through. Victim advised that the following items were stolen from his center console: liquid Benadryl and three containers of unknown brand vape juices. Total loss value was $56.00.

21-21849-Auto theft- 300 block of Sixth St.

On 7/12/21 at approximately 6:30pm,  officers responded to a business located in the 300 block of Sixth Street in reference to an auto theft. Officers met with the manager who advised that a 2021 Mercedes C300 was stolen. A female entered the dealership and requested to test drive the vehicle. A dealer tag was placed on the vehicle and it was never returned. The vehicle was valued at $45,000.

On 7/12/21 at approximately 6:00pm, officers spoke to the victim who advised that his vehicle was broken into. An unknown person unlawfully entered the vehicle and stole the victims Ipod.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
