If your business is located within city boundaries, please join our Small Business Recovery Program. Small business owners can complete a brief application and share modified hours, changes to service delivery, and special offers. Business listings will be made available in our Small Business Locator and promoted throughout the community.

Non-Profit Economic Development Recovery Grant Program


Social service community organizations in Anne Arundel County will soon be able to apply for financial support through the Non-Profit Economic Development Recovery Grant Program, a new initiative managed by the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation. The application round opens on Monday, May 10 at 9:00 am and closes at 5:00 pm on Friday, May 21.


Restaurant Revitalization Fund Portal Opens 


SBA will begin accepting applications for their Restaurant Revitalization Fund via their application portal on Monday, May 3 at 12 p.m. EDT. The application portal will remain open to any eligible establishment until all funds are exhausted. 


Last Chance! Small Business COVID-19 RELIEF Grant Program


The Maryland Department of Commerce has reopened the application portal for their Small Business COVID-19 RELIEF Grant Program so businesses will have one final chance to apply for this grant. The grant offers working capital to assist certain Maryland small businesses with disrupted operations due to COVID-19. The application portal will close again at 11:59 pm on May 15.

Maryland Entrepreneur Hub Launches


The new Maryland Entrepreneur Hub was designed with the entrepreneur in mind, to provide a platform that gathers all of the state's resources and funding information in one place.

Attend Small Biz Resource Connections


Gain a better understanding of the federal 8(a) Business Development Program. Socially and economically disadvantaged businesses can compete for set-aside and sole-sourced contracts under the federal 8(a) Program. Learn how to become certified and tap into management and technical assistance resources. Attend Small Biz Resource Connections on May 7 at 9:00 am. 

City of Annapolis Crowd Manager Certification


Does your business require a crowd manager? In accordance with the National Fire Protection Association 101, all Assembly Occupancies (such as bars and restaurants) are required to have one trained Crowd Manager on duty. Read the Crowd Manager FAQs for more information. 


Impacted Workers Support Fund


The Impacted Workers Support Fund provides financial assistance to those Anne Arundel County residents whose employment was affected by the additional restrictions put in place since November 2020.  Qualified county residents who were working in an industry that was impacted by new restrictions or lost their job due to the impact of increased COVID-19 cases on or after November 1st, may receive $500 financial support.

Closed-circuit Television Inspection Services 


The Central Purchasing Office of the City of Annapolis is accepting sealed bids for closed-circuit television inspection services until 2:00 p.m., local time, Wednesday, May 5, 2021. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, closed circuit television (CCTV) inspection services of sanitary sewer mains and Level 1 sanitary sewer manhole inspections in the City of Annapolis on an as-needed basis.


Stanton Community Center Renovation Design Services


The Central Purchasing Office of the City of Annapolis is accepting sealed proposals for design services until 2:00 p.m., local time, Thursday, May 6, 2021. Proposals must be submitted to the Central Purchasing Office, 161 Duke of Gloucester Street, 1st Floor, Annapolis, Maryland 21401. The scope of services for this RFP includes, but is not limited to, providing professional design services for ADA and MEP upgrades, including various building improvements at the Stanton Community Center.

Historic Preservation Consulting Services


The Central Purchasing Office of the City of Annapolis is accepting sealed Statements of Qualifications (“SOQ”) from interested and qualified consulting firms who desire to enter into an on-call contract for Historic Preservation Consulting Services until 2:00 p.m., local time, Tuesday, May 18, 2021. The scope of consulting services includes the following disciplines: Archaeologist, Historian, Historic Architect, Historic Landscape Architect, Historic Engineer, Historic Preservationist, Historic Preservation Planner and Historic Preservation Contractor. 

Transportation Planning and Design Services 


The Central Purchasing Office of the City of Annapolis is accepting sealed Proposals for transportation design services until 2:00 p.m., local time, Thursday, May 20, 2021. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, professional design services, community outreach, traffic engineering and related services to develop plans for Annapolis bikeways connections.
