Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Takes Destination on the Road
Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County (VAAAC) has launched a mobile visitor information center, the Arundel Ambassador. Wrapped with images promoting the entire destination, the 8.5’ x 20’ Arundel Ambassador trailer features two 65” televisions and a sound system enabling VAAAC to showcase its partners via videos and live streamed performances.
Impacted Workers Support Fund
The Impacted Workers Support Fund provides financial assistance to those Anne Arundel County residents whose employment was affected by the additional restrictions put in place since November 2020. Qualified county residents who were working in an industry that was impacted by new restrictions or lost their job due to the impact of increased COVID-19 cases on or after November 1st, may receive $500 financial support.
Maryland Small Business COVID-19 Emergency Relief Grant Fund
The Maryland Small Business COVID-19 Emergency Relief Grant Fund offers working capital to assist certain Maryland small businesses with disrupted operations due to COVID-19. Grant assistance is intended to provide interim relief complementing actions with its bank, business interruption insurance, and financial partners. Applications are now open.
Restaurant and Food Service Recovery Grant Reopens
AAEDC's Restaurant and Food Service Recovery Grant aims to help restaurants and food service businesses in the county that have been impacted by a significant reduction in revenue because of pandemic related restrictions while also trying to afford new costs related to ensuring employee and customer safety as well as regular operating expenses. Application period reopens April 19. Businesses that received a previous RFS grant should not apply again during this reopened application period.

SCORE has updated its Hispanic Business Owners Hub. With the advice of mentors and Hispanic business leaders, SCORE has collected educational content and online workshops to give business owners all the assistance they need to reach their goals.
SBA to Begin Accepting Shuttered Venue Operators Grant Applications on April 8
The U.S. Small Business Administration is opening the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant Program on April 8. The program includes over $16 billion in grants to shuttered venues, to be administered by SBA’s Office of Disaster Assistance.
Paycheck Protection Program Extended to May 31
SBA is currently offering Paycheck Protection Program loans until May 31, 2021. PPP is a loan designed to provide a direct incentive for small businesses to keep their workers on payroll. Borrowers may be eligible for PPP loan forgiveness.

SBA to Increase Loan Limits for COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loans
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is increasing the maximum amount small businesses and non-profit organizations can borrow through its COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan program to up to 24-months of economic injury with a maximum loan amount of $500,000. This program provides low-interest emergency working capital in times of emergency.
