Join our "Come Back Annapolis" Small Business Recovery Program


If your business is located within city boundaries, please join our Small Business Recovery Program. Small business owners can complete a brief application and share modified hours, changes to service delivery, and special offers. Business listings will be made available in our Small Business Locator and promoted throughout the community.

Business Counselling Sessions With Task Force Still Available


The Annapolis Small Business Recovery Task Force's Business Advisory Committee provides free counseling to Annapolis small business owners. If you would like business advice from a member of the committee, please fill out the intake form. Areas of support include: cash management, finance, management and operations, ecommerce, information technology, legal,  human resources, and marketing assistance.

Health Department Business Community Vaccine Webinar


AAEDC CEO Ben Birge will facilitate a Q&A which will follow Dr. Kalyanaraman’s presentation. Participants are encouraged to submit questions during registration as there will be no opportunity for live questions. March 18, 2:00 pm. Registration is required.  

Main Street Grant Program


Through a MD-SERI Main Street Grant for Annapolis, the Downtown Annapolis Partnership will be regranting $244,000 to downtown businesses. All businesses that meet the criteria for the grant awards are encouraged to apply. 


Impacted Workers Support Fund


The Impacted Workers Support Fund provides financial assistance to those Anne Arundel County residents whose employment was affected by the additional restrictions put in place since November 2020.  Qualified county residents who were working in an industry that was impacted by new restrictions or lost their job due to the impact of increased COVID-19 cases on or after November 1st, may receive $500 financial support.


BGE Energizing Small Business Grants


BGE is pledging $15 million to assist small businesses with COVID-19 relief and recovery. Eligible businesses are able to apply for BGE Energizing Small Business Grants of up to $20,000.

Nominate Your Favorite Historic Restaurant to Save Local Flavor


The National Trust for Historic Preservation is launching "Backing Historic Small Restaurants," a new grant opportunity to aid restaurant recovery. The program will award $1 million in grants to 25 historic restaurants throughout the United States to help improve, upgrade, and preserve their exterior physical spaces and online businesses. 

SBA Prioritizes Smallest of Small Businesses in the Paycheck Protection Program 


On February 24, The Small Business Administration established a 14-day, exclusive PPP loan application period for businesses and nonprofits with fewer than 20 employees. The 14-day exclusive application period will allow lenders to focus on serving these smallest businesses.

Enjoy free and $1 events and tours at historic and cultural sites in Annapolis all Maryland Day Weekend as we celebrate our heritage and culture. There will even be the tall ship the Pride of Baltimore II at the city dock. From March 19-21.
