Take Our Business Survey


As we continue to navigate the effects of the Covid-19 Economy, Annapolis Economic Development is conducting an Annapolis Business Survey to profile the state of the business community in the city. This information will help to inform our existing and future initiatives. Please take a few minutes to fill-out the brief questions.


Join our "Come Back Annapolis" Small Business Recovery Program


If you’re a small business located within the city boundaries, please join our Small Business Recovery Program. Small business owners can complete a brief application and share modified hours, changes to service delivery, and special offers. Business listings will be made available in our Small Business Locator and promoted throughout the community.

Business Counselling Sessions With Task Force Still Available


The Annapolis Small Business Recovery Task Force's Business Advisory Committee provides free counseling to Annapolis small business owners. If you would like business advice from a member of the committee, please fill out the intake form. Areas of support include: cash management, finance, management and operations, ecommerce, information technology, legal,  human resources, and marketing assistance.

New Short Comprehensive Plan Survey and Surveys in Spanish


The Department of Planning and Zoning is releasing a new shorter survey to capture your general priorities for the Comprehensive Plan update. Right now there is only an English version, but a Spanish version will be released in the near future. The previously released Redevelopment and Mobility surveys are now also in Spanish for those of you more comfortable in Spanish. 


BGE Energizing Small Business Grants


BGE is pledging $15 million to assist small businesses with COVID-19 relief and recovery. In Jan. 2021, eligible businesses will be able to apply for BGE Energizing Small Business Grants of up to $20,000. Program details will be announced on BGE's website when the program opens in January 2021.


Maryland Department of Natural Resources CARES Act Relief 2020


CARES Act funding is available through the Maryland Department of Natural Resources for coastal and marine fishery businesses who have been negatively affected by COVID–19. The application portal is open until February 28, 2021 at 5:00 pm. 

Marine Trade Business Employee Training Funds 


The EARN Grant offered through the Marine Trades Association of Maryland (MTAM) provides funding for training incumbent workers. The goal is to train your current workers so that you have room for young trainees at the start of their career. Various awards available up to 50% of training cost.

Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce 2021 State Legislative Preview Webinar


The Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce will kickoff the 2021 session of the General Assembly with a virtual Legislative Preview event on Monday, January 11th from 12 pm to 1:30 pm.  There will be a panel of State Senators and Delegates to share their views about the upcoming legislation session.  The Legislative Preview is free to Chamber members and only $10 for non-members.

TEDCO Funding Opportunities Available 


TEDCO invests in and partners with entrepreneurs to build outstanding businesses that last. Explore some of their investment funding opportunities including the Builder Fund, the Seed Fund, the Venture Fund, and the Tech Transfer Fund.

Land Use and Resilience Planning Services


The Central Purchasing Office of the City of Annapolis is accepting sealed Proposals for land use and resilience planning services until 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 14. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to land use, transportation, emergency management and resilience planning services to propose new or refine existing recommendations, chart a path for the long-term sustainability and operability of the military installation complex and surrounding communities, and begin to design an integrated intelligent transportation system for the area.
