20-4772- Theft from a vehicle- 1900 block of West St.
On 12/5 at approximately1:18pm, Officers responded for a theft from a vehicle in the 1900 block of West Street. The victim reported that she left her vehicle unlocked and her purse was stolen. Total loss value to the victim was approximately $30.00.
20-4777- Shoplifting-1000 block of Bay Ridge Ave.
On 12/5 at approximately 5:20pm, Officers responded to the 1000 block of Bay Ridge Ave. for a reported shoplifting that just occurred. Officers located the suspect who was identified as David Williams DOB 9/8/89. When an officer attempted to place Williams under arrest he assaulted her and attempted to disarm her. Other officers assisted in making the lawful arrest without further incident. The officer was transported to AAMC to be treated for minor injuries.
20-4782 - Shoplifting -900 block of Bay Ridge Rd.
On 12/5 at approximately 9:47pm, Officers responded to the 900 block of Bay Ridge road for a reported shoplifting. Investigation revealed that a subject placed multiple shavers/razors into a bag and left the store without paying for them. An employee followed him out of the store and he left on foot heading westbound on Bay Ridge Road. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Total loss value was approximately $415.00.

The Annapolis Police Department is implementing a policy of telephone reporting for relatively minor and non-violent crimes. When you call to report a crime in Annapolis your call will be screened to see if it falls into a category that is appropriate for telephone reporting. If your call is appropriate for telephone reporting an officer will call you and collect the relevant information and provide you with an event or incident number.
