Grants for Local Businesses and Nonprofits 

 

Restaurant and Food Service Recovery Grant


The Restaurant and Food Service Recovery Grant aims to help restaurants and food service businesses in the county that have been impacted by a significant reduction in revenue because of pandemic related restrictions while also trying to afford new costs related to ensuring employee and customer safety as well as regular operating expenses. The program is specifically targeted to food trucks, catering businesses, bed and breakfast establishments and dine-in, non-drive-through restaurants.

MD-SERI: Tourism Nonprofit Grants 


MD-SERI: Tourism Nonprofit Grants will allocate funds to the state’s nonprofit tourism producing organizations, such as museums, cultural attractions, zoos, aquariums whose mission and work substantially contributes to the economic development and now economic recovery of Maryland communities through visitor driven events and programs.

MD-SERI: Entertainment Venue Grants 


MD-SERI: Entertainment Venue Grants will be for the state’s nonprofit and for-profit live music and performance venues, live entertainment promoters and independently-owned local movie theaters whose primary mission and work substantially contributes to the economic development and now economic recovery of Maryland communities through employment, visitor driven events, programs and performances.


Maryland State Arts Council Emergency Grants


An additional $3 million was distributed to MSAC through its Emergency Grant Program. Created in March in response to the COVID-19 State of Emergency, Emergency Grants provide funding to arts organizations and artists for losses sustained because of programming, operations, and events that have been modified or cancelled. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on November 13 to be considered for funding.

FY2021 COVID Relief Grants for the Arts Program


Anne Arundel County Partners with Arts Council to Provide $1 million for Artists and Arts Organizations through the FY2021 COVID Relief Grants for the Arts Program (GAP). Grants will be broken down in two categories:  Independent Artists, and Arts Nonprofits or Businesses that solely employ artists or performers.  All applicants must be a resident of Anne Arundel County.
