20-4205 - Theft (Wallet) - 1800 block of Forest Dr.
On 10/26/20 at approximately 8:50am officers responded to the 1800 block of Forest Drive in reference to a theft of a wallet. The suspect was located on scene and arrested. The suspect fraudulently used the victims credit card charging $145.00. The wallet was stolen from a vehicle earlier in the morning, the vehicle was parked in the 1900 block of West Street at the time of the theft. The suspect in this incident has not yet been charged. This is an ongoing investigation.
20-4227 - Fraud - 200 block of Sumner Rd.
On 10/26/20 at approximately 7:26 hours officers responded to the 200 block of Sumner Road in reference to a reported fraud. The victim advised that an unknown person gained access to her bank account and made a transfer of $55,000 to another account. This is an ongoing investigation.
20-4228 - Assault - 1200 block of Ashton Court
On 10/26/20 at approximately 11:16pm officers responded to the 1200 block of Ashton Court for a reported assault. The female victim advised that a male friend pushed her to the ground after he became angry during a verbal dispute. The female victim was not injured, judicial relief was advised to the victim.
Telephone Reporting and Police Services - COVID-19
The Annapolis Police Department is implementing a policy of telephone reporting for relatively minor and non-violent crimes. When you call to report a crime in Annapolis your call will be screened to see if it falls into a category that is appropriate for telephone reporting. If your call is appropriate for telephone reporting an officer will call you and collect the relevant information and provide you with an event or incident number.
