In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police Department responded to 344 calls for service and arrested 8 people.
20-3942-Armed Robbery- 300 block of Severn Ave.
On October 9th approximately 3:54 pm officers responded to the 300 block of Severn Ave. Ruth's Chris Steak House, for a report of an Armed Robbery that occurred on October 8th. The victim advised that on October 8th at approximately 8:30pm he left the business through the rear doors when he was approached by two unknown male subjects. The victim advised that one subject held him at gunpoint while the other rummaged through his pockets. The subjects were unable to take anything from the victim and fled the area on foot. The victim was not injured. Detectives are currently investigating this incident.
20-3957-Theft- Unit block of Maryland Ave St.
On October 10th at approximately 4:45pm officers responded to the unit block of Maryland Ave, MUSE clothing store in reference to a theft. The business owner advised she discovered a theft of a black and brown Fendi belt. She advised that while conducting inventory she was not able to locate the belt. She later reviewed video footage and observed a group of juveniles enter the business and steal the belt. The belt was valued at $250.
20-3972-Theft -800 block of Chester Ave.
On October 10th at approximately 3:50pm officers responded to the 800 block of Chester Ave in reference to a theft of a buoy. The victim advised that her red buoy was stolen from her front lawn. Total loss value to the victim was $300.00.
Telephone Reporting and Police Services - COVID-19
The Annapolis Police Department is implementing a policy of telephone reporting for relatively minor and non-violent crimes. When you call to report a crime in Annapolis your call will be screened to see if it falls into a category that is appropriate for telephone reporting. If your call is appropriate for telephone reporting an officer will call you and collect the relevant information and provide you with an event or incident number.
