In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police Department has responded to 141 calls for service and arrested 4 people.
20-3919 - Burglary - 100 block of Smith Ave.
On October 8th at approximately 4:14pm officers responded to the 100 block of Smith Ave. for the report of a possible burglary. According to the complainant, an unknown individual had kicked in the rear door of the residence. It does not appear that entry was made, nor was anything reported as being taken.
20-3920 - Theft (Catalytic convertor) - 1200 block of Ashton Ct.
On October 8th at approximately 3:54pm officers responded to the 1200 block of Ashton Court for the report of a theft of a catalytic converter. Officers spoke with the victim who advised that an unknown person stole his catalytic converter from his vehicle.
20-3921 - Theft (Wallet) - 1900 block of Westbridge Dr
On October 8th at approximately 4:19pm officers responded to the 1900 block of Westbridge Dr for the report of a theft of a wallet. Officers spoke with the complainant who advised that he had dropped his wallet in the parking garage of the building, which had been picked up by an unknown individual. The bank card from within the wallet had been attempted to be used at Office Depot on-line, which the transaction was denied. $10 US currency was in the wallet as well. Total loss value to the victim was $80.00.
Telephone Reporting and Police Services - COVID-19
The Annapolis Police Department is implementing a policy of telephone reporting for relatively minor and non-violent crimes. When you call to report a crime in Annapolis your call will be screened to see if it falls into a category that is appropriate for telephone reporting. If your call is appropriate for telephone reporting an officer will call you and collect the relevant information and provide you with an event or incident number.
