This information will help to inform our existing and future initiatives. Please take a few minutes to fill-out the brief questions.

New Executive Order Regarding Liquor Licenses in Outdoor Areas

Mayor Buckley recently signed a new Executive Order stating that all restaurants & bars with previously approved liquor licenses that cover outdoor areas can serve alcohol until the time stated in their liquor license in that area

Prepare for Halloween

We know that Halloween is a busy night for our city's bars and restaurants. As a reminder, bars and restaurants that serve alcohol in indoor facilities may be open and serve food until 11:00 p.m. Alcohol service must still cease at 10:00 p.m. Businesses must still abide by Anne Arundel County Department of Health's COVID-19 Guidelines.

Anne Arundel County Childcare Providers Support Grants

The new Childcare Providers Support Program through Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation provides grants of up to $50,000 to county childcare businesses. The program provides operating funding to assist the licensed family childcare homes and childcare centers that have seen a significant decrease in enrollment over the last six months.

The grant provides working capital to cover operating expenses such as rent, payroll and utilities, and costs associated with the purchase of personal protective equipment, ensuring sanitary physical spaces and implementing online communications and learning.  The grant cannot be used for any expenses previously covered by another federal, state or local government COVID-19 related program, losses covered by an insurance policy or capital improvements to the business property.
