In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 106 calls for service and arrested one person.
Shooting - 202000003697 - Forest Hills Ave at Bricin St - 09/23 at 3:42am: Officers responded to the unit block of Bens Drive for a report of a person being shot at Forest Hills Ave at Bricin St. Officers located the victim who was shot in the leg and transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Theft - 202000003692 - 1000-1099 Wells Avenue - A victim reported that he attempted to purchase an iPhone through a market place app. The victim went to the designated location and a subject took the victim’s money and fled on foot. Please be reminded that there is a “Transaction Safe Place” at the Annapolis Police Department, 199 Taylor Avenue. Telephone Reporting and Police Services - COVID-19
The Annapolis Police Department is implementing a policy of telephone reporting for relatively minor and non-violent crimes. When you call to report a crime in Annapolis your call will be screened to see if it falls into a category that is appropriate for telephone reporting. If your call is appropriate for telephone reporting an officer will call you and collect the relevant information and provide you with an event or incident number.
