In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police Department has responded to 84 calls for service and arrested 7 people.
20-3660- Robbery- 1100 block of Frederick Douglas Street
On September 21st at approximately 9:45 am officers responded to the 1100 block of Frederick Douglas Street for a Robbery that occurred on September 20th between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm.The victim stated that she got into an argument with a female who assaulted her and stole her cell phone. Two other female subjects joined in on the assault, the victim was punched in the face several times. She sustained injuries to her face, her eye was bloodshot and bruised. Detectives are investigating this incident, anyone with information should contact them at 410-260-3439.
20-3667 - First Degree Domestic Assault -1100 block of Madison Street
On September 21st at approximately 4:48pm Officers responded to the 1100 block of Madison Street in reference to a domestic argument. The female victim advised that her ex-boyfriend let himself into her residence using a key he had stolen two weeks prior. She said that they argued, and then he punched her in her face, arm, hand, and stomach. At one point the male suspect displayed a handgun and threatened to shoot the victim. The suspect fled the scene prior to officers arrival.
Telephone Reporting and Police Services - COVID-19
The Annapolis Police Department is implementing a policy of telephone reporting for relatively minor and non-violent crimes. When you call to report a crime in Annapolis your call will be screened to see if it falls into a category that is appropriate for telephone reporting. If your call is appropriate for telephone reporting an officer will call you and collect the relevant information and provide you with an event or incident number.
