In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police Department responded to 261 calls for service and arrested 9 people.
20-3613 - Theft - 100 block of Georgetown Road
On September 18th at approximately 12:23 pm officers responded to the 100 block of Georgetown Road in reference to a theft that had occurred. The victim claimed that her bank card had been stolen and $1000 was withdrawn from the bank account without permission.
20-3630 - Theft from Vehicle - Unit block of Shaw Street
On September 19th at approximately 1:56 am officers responded to the unit block of Shaw Street for a theft from an unlocked vehicle. The victim reported that $5.00 was stolen from the vehicle.
20-3634 - Theft From Auto - 1200 block of Forest Drive
On September 19th officers responded to the 1200 block of Forest Drive in reference to a theft from auto.. The victim left her vehicle unsecured and her purse was stolen.
20-3641 - Theft - 900 block of Bay Ridge Road
On September 20th at approximately 5:52 am officers responded to the 900 block of Bay Ridge Road in reference to a theft. The victim left his wallet on the counter of a business and when he returned for it he discovered that it had been stolen. The victims bank card was subsequently used at another business. Total loss value to the victim was $153.66.
20-3642 - Theft - 100 block of Duke of Gloucester Street
On September 20th at approximately 7:11 am officers responded to the 100 block of Duke of Gloucester Street for a theft. The victim reported that a political yard sign was stolen from their yard.
20-3647 - Armed Robbery - 400 block of Captains Circle
On September 20 at approximately 2:56 pm officers responded to the 400 block of Captains Circle for a report of an armed robbery. A cab driver reported being robbed of $1000 by two subjects. One of the subjects displayed what was described as a short barreled shotgun. No injuries were reported and the suspects were not located. The Annapolis Police Department is implementing a policy of telephone reporting for relatively minor and non-violent crimes. When you call to report a crime in Annapolis your call will be screened to see if it falls into a category that is appropriate for telephone reporting. If your call is appropriate for telephone reporting an officer will call you and collect the relevant information and provide you with an event or incident number.
