In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police Department responded to 126 calls for service and arrested 5 people.
20-3462- Robbery- 400 block of Captains Cir.
On September 8th at approximately 9:00 am officers responded to the 400 block of Captains Circle for a reported robbery. The adult male victim advised that he was assaulted by an unknown subject around 1:00 am. The victim was knocked unconscious and when he woke up he noticed that his cell phone and $150 had been stolen from him. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Detectives are currently investigating this incident and anyone with information can contact them at 410-260-3439.
20-3464-Theft- 300 block of First St.
On September 8th at approximately 12:45 pm officers responded to the 300 block of first street for a reported theft. The victim advised that 6 rod iron chairs and an umbrella was stolen from there porch. Total loss value was $370.00.
20-3475- Domestic Assault- 100 block of Obery Ct.
On September 9th at approximately 330 am officers responded to the 100 block of obery court for a domestic related assault. The victim reported being punched several time by an ex husband. Ryan Jerome Simms 10/27/1966 was identified for the assault , Simms was and charged accordingly

The Annapolis Police Department is implementing a policy of telephone reporting for relatively minor and non-violent crimes. When you call to report a crime in Annapolis your call will be screened to see if it falls into a category that is appropriate for telephone reporting. If your call is appropriate for telephone reporting an officer will call you and collect the relevant information and provide you with an event or incident number.
