20-3328-Theft-100 block of Rosecrest Dr.
On 8/29/20 at approximately 5:00 pm officers responded to the 100 block of Rosecrest Dr in reference to a theft of a bike that was stolen and recovered. Victim advised his bike was stolen from his backyard approximately a week ago. Victim advised his son located the bike in the 200 block of Janwall St and recovered it but noticed there was damage to the wheels and brakes (approximately $50.00 in damage).
20-3329 - Motor Vehicle Theft from 1300 block of Forest Drive
On 8/29/20 at approximately 7:00 pm officers responded to the 1300 block of Forest Drive for a motor vehicle theft. The vehicle was described as a silver 2004 GMC Yukon, MD registration 5AY0952. The vehicle has since been located and recovered.
20-3333-Theft-100 block of South Southwood Ave
On 8/30/20 at approximately 11:30 am officers responded to the 100 block of S. Southwood Ave in reference to a theft of a "Biden/Harris" lawn sign.
Victim advised that she last saw it in her yard on Saturday 08/30/2020 at approximately 7:00 pm and on 8/30/2020 at approx 9:30 am she noticed it was missing.
20-3341 - Assault- 700 block of Newtowne Drive
On 8/30/20 at approximately 9:00 pm officers responded to the 700 block of Newtowne Drive in reference to an assault. Officers located the adult male victim inside a residence. The victim was suffering from injuries to his face that were consistent to being assaulted. The victim was unable to provide officers with suspect or other additional information but family members believed the assault happened in the common area near 701 Newtowne Drive. The victim refused further medical treatment.
Telephone Reporting and Police Services - COVID-19
The Annapolis Police Department is implementing a policy of telephone reporting for relatively minor and non-violent crimes. When you call to report a crime in Annapolis your call will be screened to see if it falls into a category that is appropriate for telephone reporting. If your call is appropriate for telephone reporting an officer will call you and collect the relevant information and provide you with an event or incident number.
