20-3292 - Auto Theft - Unit block of West St.
On August 26th at approximately 12:15pm officers responded to City Gate Lane and Larkin Road for the report of a stolen vehicle. Officers spoke with the victim who stated that their vehicle (2009 Toyota Camry bearing Maryland registration; 400AEL) was stolen from that area.

20-3295 - Theft (front tag) - Unit block of Legion Ave.
On August 26th at approximately 3:15 pm Officers made contact with a citizen in reference to a theft from auto. The victim advised that her vehicle was being repaired on Legion Ave. for mechanical issues. When the victim went to retrieve her vehicle it was discovered that the front license plate (Maryland tag 2DB3394 )had been stolen.

20-3296- Burglary- 900 block of Monroe St.
On August 26th officers responded to the 900 block of Monroe Street for a report of a burglary. The victim reported that an unknown person made forced entry into a vacant residence and vandalized the interior. It is unknown what time the actual burglary took place.

Telephone Reporting and Police Services - COVID-19
The Annapolis Police Department is implementing a policy of telephone reporting for relatively minor and non-violent crimes. When you call to report a crime in Annapolis your call will be screened to see if it falls into a category that is appropriate for telephone reporting. If your call is appropriate for telephone reporting an officer will call you and collect the relevant information and provide you with an event or incident number. Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
