20-3265-Auto Theft-100 block of West St.
On 8/24 at approximately 10:40 am officers responded to the 100 block of West St. in reference to a stolen vehicle. The victim stated that he last saw his vehicle 0n 8/24, the vehicle was described as a 2003 Ford F150. The vehicle was located by officers and returned to the owner.
20-3266-Theft- 300 block of Forbes St.
On 8/24 at approximately 12:00 pm officers took a telephone report for a theft of a Kayak from Mariner's Cove. Victim advised that he last saw his kayak unsecure on a rack in the rear of his apartment building on 08/15 around 12:00pm and when he returned on 8/24 he noticed that it was missing. Total loss value to the victim was $350.00.
20-3276 - Armed Robbery in the 1300 block of Tyler Ave.
On 8/24 at approximately 8:30 pm officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Tyler Avenue in reference to a subject who had been robbed. Officers located the adult male victim who advised that he was attacked by several unknown/ unidentified subjects. The victim reported being assaulted with bottles, and at least one subject struck him with a handgun in the face. The victims cellphone and $200 were taken from him during the assault. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. There is no suspect information at this time, Detectives are currently investigating this incident and as more information becomes available it will be released.
20-3275 - Theft/Recovery of Bicycles in the unit block of Silopanna Rd.
On 8/24 at approximately 8:40 pm, officers responded to the unit block of Silopanna Road in reference to two bicycles that had just been stolen. The owner advised that he and his daughter had just returned from a ride, and the bicycles were left unsecured in the bike rack while he went inside to retrieve the bike locks. A lookout was broadcasted and officers quickly located both bicycles in the 1900 block of West Street. Both bikes were recovered and two juveniles were arrested.
