20-2897- Burglary- 1900 block of West Street

On July 27th at approximately 5:10 am officers responded for a burglary at 1948 West St. (Cricket Wireless.) The complainant stated that on 7/27/20 between 4:20 and 4:30am, a subject broke the front door and entered the business. The suspect looked around then left the business and did not take anything. 


20-2900- Injured Person- 500 block of Burnside Street

On July 27th at approximately 11:30 am officers responded for an adult male that was injured at a job site. The victim was transported to Shock Trauma by Annapolis FD. MOSHA was contacted and they reported to the scene to conduct their investigation.


20-2911-Homicide-1800 block of Bowman Court

On July 27th at approximately 10:30 pm officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Bowman Court for a reported shooting. Responding officers located the victim lying in the street suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim who was identified as a juvenile male was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
