In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police Officers responded to 104 calls for service and arrested 5 people.
20-2846 - Armed Robbery 1400 block of West Street
On July 22nd at approximately 7:51 pm officers were dispatched to a victim's address on Poplar Avenue in reference to an armed robbery that had just occurred in the 1400 block of West Street. Investigation revealed that two juveniles were robbed at gunpoint by two other juveniles. A cell phone and a set of earbuds were taken during the robbery. The victims in this incident were unharmed and one arrest was made.
20-2840- Theft-1000 block of Cedar Ridge Ct.
On July 22nd at approximately 3:15 pm officers responded for a theft of a jet ski and trailer. The victim reported that his Sea-Doo Jet Ski and trailer were stolen from this location. The theft occurred between 7/21/20 at 3:00pm and 7/22/20 at 3:00pm, The trailer did not have a tag on it. The Jet ski was a black and white Sea-Doo with a black cover on it.
20-2831- Sex offense- 1100 block of Madison St.
On July 22nd at approximately 8:30 am officers responded to a sex offense that occurred on 7/22/20 between midnight and 1:00am The victim reports that she was walking in the area of 1100 Madison St. when she was knocked to the ground and sexually assaulted by two males. The victim has been transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The Annapolis Police Department is implementing a policy of telephone reporting for relatively minor and non-violent crimes. When you call to report a crime in Annapolis your call will be screened to see if it falls into a category that is appropriate for telephone reporting. If your call is appropriate for telephone reporting an officer will call you and collect the relevant information and provide you with an event or incident number.
