In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 106 calls for service and arrested 5 people.
Theft - 202000002426 - 200-299 Truxton Park Rd - 06/23 from 3:30pm to 5pm: Victim reported that an unknown subject stole an iPhone 8 Plus from the park while she was skating.
Handgun Arrest - 202000002418 - South Cherry Grove Av at Skippers La - 06/23 at 2pm: Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area. During the traffic stop officers recovered two loaded Glock handguns from the vehicle. Ashawntea Henderson, 28, of Washington DC, was arrested and charged with 8 handgun violations and 7 motor vehicle citations. He is being held without bond at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.
Stolen Vehicle - 202000002417 - 1100-1199 West St - 06/16 at 12pm to 06/23 at 12pm: A white 2015 Toyota Prius, no tags, VIN#JTDKN3DU6F0401621 was stolen from the lot.
Telephone Reporting and Police Services - COVID-19
The Annapolis Police Department is implementing a policy of telephone reporting for relatively minor and non-violent crimes. When you call to report a crime in Annapolis your call will be screened to see if it falls into a category that is appropriate for telephone reporting. If your call is appropriate for telephone reporting an officer will call you and collect the relevant information and provide you with an event or incident number.
