Spring Fling Scholarship Fundraiser postponed until 2021
In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 256 calls for service and arrested 6 people.
Stolen Vehicle - 202000002181 - 600-699 Wye Island Ct - 06/07 at 7pm: A silver Hyundai Sonata, Texas registration 75015D, was stolen while from the area.
Destruction of Property - 202000002177 - 1400-1499 Forest Dr - 06/07 at 11am: Officers responded to the area for a report of vandalism. Officers located several areas on the building and vehicle that had been spray painted.
Theft of Package - 202000002179 - 100-199 Green St - 06/07 at 6:15am: A package containing several canvas boat fender covers was stolen from the front porch by an unknown subject.
Theft of Package - 202000002153 - 1200-1299 Ashton Ct - 06/05 from 5pm to 5:50pm: A package containing a lunchbox was delivered to the front porch of the residence and stolen by an unknown subject.
Stolen and Recovered Vehicle - 202000002141 - 0-99 Severn Ave - 06/05 at 12:15am to 7:30am: A gray 2013 Audi, MD registration 2CE6794, was stolen from in front of the residence. UPDATE: Recovered on 06/07 at 3:15am: An officer observed the vehicle being operated on Taylor Ave. Officers stopped the vehicle on Rosemary St where the driver fled on foot from the vehicle. Officers located the suspect in the 100 block of South Villa Ave and arrested him. Saul Chicas Campos, 20, of Annapolis was arrested and charged with unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and three other criminal charges related to the crime. He was released on his own recognizance by the District Court Commissioner.
Telephone Reporting and Police Services - COVID-19
The Annapolis Police Department is implementing a policy of telephone reporting for relatively minor and non-violent crimes. When you call to report a crime in Annapolis your call will be screened to see if it falls into a category that is appropriate for telephone reporting. If your call is appropriate for telephone reporting an officer will call you and collect the relevant information and provide you with an event or incident number.
