Telephone Reporting and Police Services - COVID-19
The Annapolis Police Department is implementing a policy of telephone reporting for relatively minor and non-violent crimes. When you call to report a crime in Annapolis your call will be screened to see if it falls into a category that is appropriate for telephone reporting. If your call is appropriate for telephone reporting an officer will call you and collect the relevant information and provide you with an event or incident number. Our non-emergency phone number is 410-268-4141.
On Monday, March 30th, Governor Hogan issued a Stay-at-Home Order. The STAY-AT-HOME ORDER means that no Maryland resident should be leaving their home unless it is for an essential job or for an essential reason, such as obtaining food or medicine, seeking urgent medical attention, or for other necessary purposes - to include exercising. The Governor's Executive Order requires all law enforcement agencies in the State of Maryland, including the Annapolis Police Department, to enforce the Order.
Due to COVID 19, citizen fingerprinting has been cancelled until further notice.
