At approximately 11:21 a.m. units were dispatched to the 900 block of Primrose Road for a reported structure fire with smoke in the laundry room. On arrival, units found smoke from the front of the building. Crews made entry and located the fire in the laundry room in the basement. It took firefighters approximately 15 minutes to place the fire under control.
A total of 35 firefighters were on scene. Units from Anne Arundel County provided mutual aid assistance. No civilian or firefighters injuries reported and no one was displaced due to the fire. The cause of the fire was a malfunctioning dryer. Total cost damage is estimated to be approximately $500.
