In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 82 calls for service and arrested 3 people.
Shots Fired – 202000001380 – 1800-1899 Bowman Ct – 03/30 at 1:30pm: Several callers reported hearing shots fired. Officers arrived and discovered an occupied home and an unoccupied vehicle were struck by bullets. No one in the home was injured. No victims or suspects were located.
Theft from Vehicle – 202000001381 – 00-99 Hill St – 03/28 at 6pm to 03/30 at 2:30pm: Money was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Attempted Theft from Vehicle – 202000001383 – 2000-2099 West St – 03/30 at 7pm: An observant caller reported a male suspect attempting to break into a vehicle. Officers arrived and located a man in the area. He was identified as the suspect and arrested. Christopher Browning, 31, of Dunkirk was charged with rogue and vagabond and released.
Attempted Thefts from Vehicles – 202000001384 – Janwall St at Tyler Av – 03/30 at 9:15pm: An observant caller reported a male suspect trying vehicle door handles in the area. The suspect tried four locked vehicles and then entered a fifth unlocked vehicle. Officers arrived and located a man in the area. He was identified as the suspect and arrested. Nothing was reported stolen from the one vehicle he was seen entering. Donte Boston, 31, of Annapolis was charged with rogue and vagabond and released.

Telephone Reporting and Police Services - COVID-19
The Annapolis Police Department is implementing a policy of telephone reporting for relatively minor and non-violent crimes. When you call to report a crime in Annapolis your call will be screened to see if it falls into a category that is appropriate for telephone reporting. If your call is appropriate for telephone reporting an officer will call you and collect the relevant information and provide you with an event or incident number. Our non-emergency phone number is 410-268-4141.
Citizen fingerprinting has been cancelled through April 20, 2020. At this time we plan to restart citizen fingerprinting on Monday, April 27th at 6:30pm. There may be continued cancellations of citizen fingerprinting announced at a later date.

RESCHEDULED Spring Fling Scholarship Fundraiser
The Annapolis Police Department benefit for the Annapolis Police Scholarship Fund has been rescheduled to 06/11 at the Annapolis Market House. The event starts at 6pm for VIP tickets and at 7pm for standard tickets. Tickets range in price from $45 to $75. There will be food from Paladar, the Market House, Tarin Thai, Mission BBQ and Park Deli.
