In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 90 calls for service and arrested 2 people.

Theft from Vehicle – 202000001208 – 900-999 Windsor Av – 03/16 at 4am: A camera in the area captured a male suspect stealing a Dewalt battery powered vacuum and Dewalt rechargeable battery from an unlocked utility box in the rear bed of a pick up truck. The theft was discovered a couple of hours later and reported.

Telephone Reporting and Police Services - COVID-19
The Annapolis Police Department is implementing a policy of telephone reporting for relatively minor and non-violent crimes. When you call to report a crime in Annapolis your call will be screened to see if it falls into a category that is appropriate for telephone reporting. If your call is appropriate for telephone reporting an officer will call you and collect the relevant information and provide you with an event or incident number. Our non-emergency phone number is 410-268-4141.

Citizen fingerprinting scheduled for Monday, 03/16, and Monday, 03/23, will be cancelled. We will make a decision regarding the possible continued cancellation of citizen fingerprinting at a later date.

At this time all other services offered by the Annapolis Police Department are continuing. If you have any questions about a specific service, please call our administrative phone number, 410-268-9000, during business hours. Our administrative business hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. For more information about other city services, the Annapolis Call Center will be activated at 8am on Monday, 03/16. RESCHEDULED Spring Fling Scholarship Fundraiser
The Annapolis Police Department benefit for the Annapolis Police Scholarship Fund has been rescheduled to 06/11 at the Annapolis Market House. The event starts at 6pm for VIP tickets and at 7pm for standard tickets. Tickets range in price from $45 to $75. There will be food from Paladar, the Market House, Tarin Thai, Mission BBQ and Park Deli. Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
