In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 107 calls for service and arrested 3 people.
Handgun Possession Arrests – 202000000842 – Bay Ridge Av at Madison St – 02/21 at 9:32pm: Officers were in the area conducting a detail targeting drug and gun crime in the Eastport area when they stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. After smelling the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle, officers searched the vehicle and discovered a handgun under the front passenger seat. The handgun’s magazine was loaded, but there was no round in the chamber. The handgun was reported stolen from Florida. The driver, Ke’shaun Greenleaf, 20, of Glen Burnie, was arrested and charged with eight counts relating to the illegal possession of the handgun. The passenger, Dayshawn Addison, 21, of Annapolis, was arrested and charged with five counts relating to the illegal possession of the handgun. Greenleaf and Addison were released by the District Court Commissioner on their own recognizance.
Theft from Vehicle – 202000000887 – 00-99 Windwhisper La – 02/24: A phone and wallet were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Armed Robbery – 202000000890 – 00-99 Summerfield Dr – 02/24 at 10:30pm: A 17 year old male victim was walking in the area when he was confronted by two male suspects armed with handguns. They demanded money and took money from the victim. The suspects fled the area on foot and the victim waited about 20 minutes to report the robbery. Officers searched the area, but did not locate the suspects.

The Annapolis Police Department is co-hosting a benefit for the Annapolis Police Scholarship Fund on 03/18 at the Annapolis Market House.
