In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 103 calls for service and arrested 6 people.

Theft from Vehicle – 202000000665 – 00-99 Hicks Av – 01/01 at 12pm to 01/02 at 12am: A yellow Honda power washer, red yard trimmer, a red Stihl weed trimmer, and a black Remit yard blower were stolen from the open bed of a pick up truck.

Shooting – 202000000670 – 1100-1199 Madison St – 02/11 at 11:37pm: Officers were in the area when they heard shots being fired. Officers located a 29 year old male victim suffering injuries consistent with being shot. The man was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Detectives are investigating this incident. The shooting occurred outside in the 1100 block of Madison St. We urge anyone with information to contact our detectives at 410-260-3439. City Offices Closed & No Citizen Fingerprinting
City offices will be closed Monday, 02/17, in observance of Presidents Day. No citizen fingerprinting will be offered Monday, 02/17. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, 02/24, at 6:30pm.

Chief’s Lecture Series

Spring Fling Scholarship Fundraiser
The Annapolis Police Department is co-hosting a benefit for the Annapolis Police Scholarship Fund on 03/18 at the Annapolis Market House. The event starts at 6pm for VIP tickets and at 7pm for standard tickets. Tickets range in price from $45 to $75. Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
