Reminder: Annapolis Sidewalk Sign Ordinance

Annapolis City Council recently passed an ordinance (O-42-18) authorizing sidewalk signs with certain conditions. This legislation ensures that signs are placed in a way that does not impede pedestrian traffic or ADA access. Sidewalk signs will now require a sign permit and an indemnity bond.  If you are located in the Historic District, you will need to submit a Historic Preservation Commission Administrative Approval Application for Certificate of Approval. All fees will be waived if sign application is received by March 23, 2020.
