In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 123 calls for service and arrested 2 people.       
 
Stolen & Recovered Vehicle – 202000000350 – 00-99 Silverwood Circle – 01/22 at 6am: The adult male victim was sitting in his rental vehicle with the engine running and the key in the ignition talking with an adult male suspect he met that day. The suspect was outside the vehicle and grabbed the victim’s cell phone through the window. The victim got out of the vehicle and chased the suspect around the vehicle. The suspect jumped into the driver’s seat and drove the vehicle away. The vehicle was recovered parked and unoccupied on 01/22 at 8pm in the unit block of Silverwood Circle.
 
Burglary – 202000000355 – 00-99 Bens Dr – 01/17 to 01/22: A vacant residence was entered, but nothing was stolen.
 
Burglary – 202000000366 – 700-799 South Cherry Grove Av – 01/22 at 11:30pm: Officers responded for an intrusion alarm at the residence and discovered the front door unlocked, but no one inside. The resident responded and reported that he lost the keys to the residence earlier that day. Jewelry and two wristwatches were stolen from the home.

Join us at Starbucks at 122 Main St on 02/13 from 3:30pm to 5:30pm for Coffee with a Cop. Drop in any time during the two hours officers will be at Starbucks. Come with questions or just say hi.

Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, 02/18, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Eastport Working Together is a collective group of residents committed to listening, engaging and investing in the Eastport community by organizing around challenging issues that affect residents. Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
