In the last 48 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 146 calls for service and arrested 3 people.
Destruction of Property – 201900006258 – 1200-1299 Graff Ct – 12/23 at 4:30pm to 12/24 at 7:45pm: Nine vehicles in the area were damaged. The vehicles either had their license plates bent, side mirrors damaged or paint scratched or a combination of those types of damage.
Burglary – 201900006265 – 700-799 Pearson Point – 12/24 from 3:30pm to 4:30pm: An area surveillance captured an unknown male suspect attempting to open the front door of a home. The door was locked, so he did not get in. Next, the suspect went to the rear of the home, forcing open the gate to the fenced backyard. The home was not entered and nothing was stolen.
Make a Plan to get Home Safely
‘Tis the season to be merry, but if you are making merry by drinking and driving, make a new plan. Make a plan for getting home safely before heading to your holiday party. If you see a suspected drunk driver, report it to the police by calling 410-268-4141 or 9-1-1.
City Offices Closed & No Citizen Fingerprinting
City offices will be closed Wednesday, 01/01. No citizen fingerprinting will be offered Monday, 12/30. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, 01/06, at 6:30pm. Additionally, no citizen fingerprinting will be offered Monday, January 20.
Military Bowl Information
The City of Annapolis is hosting the Military Bowl Game and Parade on 12/27. The parade starts at 9am at the Annapolis City Dock and the game starts at 12pm at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. On 12/26 there is a block party on Annapolis St to visit with the Budweiser Clydesdale horses. This event, Miracle on Annapolis Street, is 11am to 5pm and roads in the area will be closed. Annapolis News Year’s Eve Celebrations
The City of Annapolis is hosting two firework displays on 12/31. The first is at a family friendly event at Weems-Whelan Memorial Field that starts at 3pm and ends with fireworks at 5:30pm.
