In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 96 calls for service and arrested 3 people.
Theft from Vehicle – 201900006241 – 200-299 Boxwood Rd – 12/21 at 6pm to 12/23 at 8am: Money was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Theft from Vehicle – 201900006252 – 200-299 Old Solomons Island Rd – 12/23 from 1:45pm to 2:15pm: A black Jansport backpack was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Theft from Vehicle – 201900006255 – 800-899 Monroe St – 12/23 from 7:35pm to 7:55pm: A purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Attempted Theft from Vehicles – 201900006257 – 200-299 Annapolis St – 12/23 at 11:55pm: An observant caller reported two male suspects entering two unlocked vehicles in the area. The suspects fled the area before officers arrived and were not located. Nothing was reported stolen.
Make a Plan to get Home Safely
‘Tis the season to be merry, but if you are making merry by drinking and driving, make a new plan. Make a plan for getting home safely before heading to your holiday party. If you see a suspected drunk driver, report it to the police by calling 410-268-4141 or 9-1-1.
City Offices Closed & No Citizen Fingerprinting
City offices will be closed Wednesday, 12/25, and Wednesday, 01/01. No citizen fingerprinting will be offered Monday, 12/30. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, 01/06, at 6:30pm. Additionally, no citizen fingerprinting will be offered Monday, January 20.
Military Bowl Information
The City of Annapolis is hosting the Military Bowl Game and Parade on 12/27. The parade starts at 9am at the Annapolis City Dock and the game starts at 12pm at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. On 12/26 there is a block party on Annapolis St to visit with the Budweiser Clydesdale horses. This event, Miracle on Annapolis Street, is 11am to 5pm and roads in the area will be closed. Annapolis News Year’s Eve Celebrations
The City of Annapolis is hosting two firework displays on 12/31. The first is at a family friendly event at Weems-Whelan Memorial Field that starts at 3pm and ends with fireworks at 5:30pm.
