February 16-February 22: This will be a busy week starting with a presentation on Form-Based Codes on Tuesday night at 7 pm at the Pip Moyer Recreation Center.
Earlier that day, we are meeting with several groups to discuss housing in the City.
On Thursday, we are updating the City Council on our progress, and we are reconvening with the Chairs of the City’s boards and commissions to check in with them, also at 7 pm at the Recreation Center.
We are also excited to attend our first session of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources’s Climate Leadership Academy. These courses are the nation’s first state-sponsored efforts "providing continuing education and executive training programs specifically designed for state and local government officials, infrastructure executives, and business leaders" (https://news.maryland.gov/dnr/2020/01/13/maryland-climate-leadership-academy-offered-in-annapolis/).
Last week we held the first meeting of the Nitty-Gritty Committee on Feb. 13. All are welcome to join future efforts and to get into the details of the Comprehensive Plan. This is a great group.
