Annapolis, Maryland (September 21 2019) – City of Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley and his wife Julie Buckley attended the White House State Dinner on September 20, 2019. The event, only the second State Dinner of the administration of Donald Trump, was held to welcome Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Jenny Morrison, Spouse of the Prime Minister of Australia.

On Saturday, Mayor Buckley will attend a Garden Party at the Australian Embassy in Washington, DC.

Mayor Buckley spent his formative years in Fremantle, Australia, a port city that is part of the Perth Metropolitan area.

It was Mayor Buckley’s first invitation to the White House.

President Trump, along with First Lady Melania Trump, previously held a State dinner to honor President Emmnuel Macron and his wife Mrs. Brigitte Macron. That event took place in April of 2018 and featured approximately 120 guests.
