Electric Vehicle Showcase on City Dock Sept. 14
to Demonstrate Benefits of Zero-Emission Cars
Annapolis, MD (August 28, 2019) – The 7th Annual “Annapolis Electric Vehicle Showcase” will take place at City Dock (Susan Campbell Park) on Saturday, September 14, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The showcase will inform the public about how driving electric benefits air and water quality and how zero-emissions can help ameliorate Climate Change.
The host of the event, Annapolis Green, said the event is part of “National Drive Electric Week (Sept. 14-22),” a nationwide celebration to increase awareness of the availability of plug-in vehicles including cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. Individual car owners, dealership and manufacturers will be represented.
Annapolis Green Co-chair Elvia Thompson said, “this event is unique because the vast majority of participants – those bringing vehicles for display – are individual owners. We encourage the public to hear from owners about what it’s like to drive electric.”
The event will also include mini-seminars on topics such as:
Drive Electric 101
Driving Electric’s Effect on Greenhouse Gases & Climate Change
You Can Take a Long Road Trip in an EV
EV Charging 101
Government Incentives & Rates
How Home Charging Affects Your Electric Bill
Please note that the event will restrict some parking on City Dock (the last two rows closest to Susan Campbell Park). Parking restrictions are in effect on Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Other sponsors of the event include the Downtown Annapolis Partnership.
