City of Annapolis to Open Warming Center 

at Stanton Center in Annapolis 

 

Annapolis, MD (March 7, 2019) – The National Weather Service is forecasting temperatures in the 20s overnight Thursday with windy conditions into Friday and a chance of snow before 10 a.m. on Friday, March 8. Mayor Gavin Buckley has announced that the Stanton Center will open Thursday, March 7th from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. as an overnight warming center for individuals who need this service. Referrals should report to the Stanton Center by 9 p.m. to check in.


Any individuals interested in long term shelter or support should contact Justin Bieler of the Department of Social Services at (410) 269-4749.

The Stanton Center is located at 92 W. Washington Street in Annapolis.
